About Isralight

Rabbi David Aaron founded Isralight in 1986. Since then Isralight has grown from a four week program in Jerusalem to an international organization offering spiritual retreats, seminars, leadership training, trips and missions to Israel, local programming in Israel and in North America and curriculum development.

Isralight was established on the premise that the Jewish spiritual basics are the most profound and yet the most neglected in contemporary Jewish education. Isralight is committed to inspiring a renaissance in Jewish identity by clarifying, intellectually and experientially, the core values that should form the essence of all Jewish life.

Rabbi David Aaron

In the spirit of the great magidim (storytellers), Rabbi David Aaron is seriously funny. He revels in the absurd semantics of personal growth and spiritual quest and gently urges us to take a look at the self-defeating and silly notions we carry about G-d and ourselves.

Rabbi Aaron is a visionary and spiritual educator. He is the Founder and Dean of Isralight, an international organization dedicated to inspiring a renaissance in Jewish Life. He has authored seven books including the best sellers Endless Light, Seeing G-d and Love is My Religion. His books have attracted national media attention including Larry King Live and E! Entertainment.

Rabbi Aaron received Smicha from the Israel Torah Research Institute, Yeshivat Itri, and is a disciple of the distinguished Dayan Rav Shlomo Fischer, Shlita. He lives in Jerusalem with his wife, Chana, and their seven children.
